What We're All About

Madison Tech Society is a student-run organization at JMU built around one idea: helping you become the most employable version of yourself. We're primarily IT and CS students, but genuinely open to anyone who wants to build a career in tech.

We're not here to teach you LeetCode — though we'll tell you to do it. We're here to give you the mindset, the network, and the roadmap that most students figure out way too late. Resumes, interviews, networking, projects, offers — we cover all of it, practically and honestly.

What We Focus On

  • Professional Development: Resume workshops, interview prep, and real career guidance
  • Industry Connections: Guest speakers, panels, and networking with people actually in the field
  • Skill Building: Hands-on lessons taught by people who've done it
  • Peer Mentorship: Learn from students one or two steps ahead of you
  • Accountability: A community that pushes you to follow through

Our Story
